The Laurels of Goshen employs a team of highly qualified medical professionals, including a Medical Director, Registered Nurses, Restorative Care Nurses, a Wound Care Nurse, state tested Certified Nursing Assistants, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and a Speech Therapist. Our on-site Rehab, Dietary, Social Work, and Activities departments provide personalized and compassionate care to each guest. Unlike other facilities that use "contracted" staff members, each member of the team at The Laurels of Goshen is directly employed, not "contracted". Chad Underly joined The Laurels of Goshen as administrator in June 2021. Underly brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience to his role at The Laurels
Underly, a registered nurse and licensed nursing home administrator, earned a Bachelor of Science in health science and public administration from Grand Valley State University. As administrator at The Laurels of Goshen, Underly is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility. On top of managing facility staff and ensuring quality care for guests, Underly must direct financial proceedings to stay within the limits of the annual budget, maintain occupancy rate, and work to keep The Laurels compliant with federal, state and local regulations.
Rehabilitation Services Director
Michelle joined The Laurels of Goshen in March 2021 as rehab services director. She has worked in skilled nursing facilities specializing in geriatric rehabilitation for over 10 years.
Michelle graduated from the PTA program at Brown Mackie College in South Bend with a 4.0 GPA. Her clinical rotations included acute hospital settings and orthopedic outpatient settings.
She is honored to assist guests at The Laurels as they work to achieve their therapy and rehabiliation goals.
Director of Marketing
Jill joined The Laurels of Goshen as director of marketing in March 2021. She is commitment to ensuring all elders and guests have a great experience, and she goes to great lengths to always
Jill began her career in 1990 with a focus on oncology and hospice. In 2007, she became a hospice liaison and found her passion in helping others navigate the healthcare system with a life-limiting diagnosis. Still wanting to make a difference, she discovered working in a skilled nursing facility was a great way to continue to advocate for those not able to advocate for themselves.
Jill enjoys being active in her community and is a board member of the local Elk’s Lodge, where she enjoys raising money for veterans, cancer research, and scholarships for local youth. She also loves to cook, bake, and spend with her husband, two sons, and grandson.
